Clear thinking. Hands-on engineering.

Saber Security is a network, security, and cloud engineering company headquartered in Sofia, Bulgaria. We design, secure, migrate, and operate multi-vendor infrastructure across edge, cloud, network, and identity for teams across Europe and North America, and our digital studio builds the apps, websites, and games that run on it.

Who we are

We are engineers first. Our experience covers more than seven years of enterprise network and security engineering, on premises and multi-cloud, from firewall estates and cloud transit to staged DNS, SSL, WAF, and bot migrations covering hundreds of domains with tested rollback paths. We work the way infrastructure teams need outside engineers to work: in stages, in writing, and with a way back.

What we do

Engagements include firewall and segmentation reviews and migrations on Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Check Point, and Cisco; SD-WAN and cloud transit on AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud; Zero Trust rollouts; edge security and CDN on Cloudflare and Akamai; and automation with Terraform, Python, and serverless functions. The studio takes on customer portals, internal tools, websites, and game prototypes. The seven services, grouped into three disciplines, are on the services page.

How we work

Every engagement follows the four-stage delivery model: Architecture, Onboarding, Migration, and Support. Each stage ends with a written acceptance check and a way back. A senior engineer leads each engagement from the first inventory to the handover, changes are staged, validated, and documented, and the people who run the system receive the runbooks.

Working principles

  1. 01

    See the whole system

Trace dependencies and traffic flows before choosing tools.
  2. 02

    Make change deliberate

Agree acceptance, validation, and recovery before a rollout.
  3. 03

    Keep ownership clear

Give every system a purpose, an owner, and documentation.
  4. 04

    Leave teams stronger

    Build understanding alongside the implementation.

Where we work

Our headquarters are in Sofia, Bulgaria, on Eastern European Time (UTC+2, and UTC+3 in summer), and we work with teams across Europe and North America. Working hours, meeting times, and how access to your environment is arranged are agreed at the start of each engagement and written into the plan.

Questions

Who leads Saber Security?

Eduard Agopyan, Founder & Principal Architect, leads Saber Security from Sofia, Bulgaria, and brings more than seven years of enterprise network and security engineering across on-premises and multi-cloud environments. Every engagement is led by a senior engineer, who stays your accountable lead from the first inventory to the handover.

Where is Saber Security based, and where do you work?

Saber Security is headquartered in Sofia, Bulgaria, which is on Eastern European Time (UTC+2, and UTC+3 in summer), and works with teams across Europe and North America. Working hours, meeting times, and how access to your environment is arranged are agreed at the start of each engagement and written into the plan.

Is Saber Security a managed security or monitoring provider?

No. Our work is architecture, migration, and engineering: designing access, networks, and edge configuration, moving them into production in stages, and handing over documentation. We do not operate a security operations center or offer round-the-clock monitoring. Support after a project is engagement-based, with scope and terms agreed in writing.

How does an engagement start?

With a short description of your environment and what has to change. Our engineers reply with questions and a proposed first step, often an audit or a design for one stage of the four-stage delivery model. Scope, deliverables, and terms are agreed in writing before work starts, and pricing follows that scope.
